Bitumen emulsion plant; It is the facility that produces bitumen emulsion by mixing solution (water, emulsifier, acid mixture) and bitumen homogeneously in certain proportions.
Bitumen emulsions are divided into anionic and cationic emulsions. Anionic emulsions are generally used for insulation and insulation purposes in the construction industry. Cationic bitumen emulsions are used for asphalt road construction or surface coating on rural roads. Bitumen emulsions are preferred because it can be applied more economically and at lower temperatures than other applications.

Bitumen emulsion plants can be produced in container type as well as in stationary or mobile type. Along with the bitumen emulsion plant, there may be a need for a bitumen service tank, bitumen emulsion stock tank and a thermal oil boiler. Turnkey offer is offered with these equipments.
Bitumen emulsion mill is mixes bitumen and a solution (water + acid + emulsifier). It consists of a rotor and a stator. The rotating part (rotor) spins at 3000 revolutions per minute, breaking the bitumen into fine particles and mixing it with the solution.
The bitumen meter controls the pump flow rate through a PID system. It measures the real-time flow of bitumen according to the bitumen emulsion recipe and provides this information to the PLC system.
The bitumen pump is designed for viscous liquids and operates with high efficiency. According to the recipe entered into the PLC system, the bitumen pump ensures accurate dosing of bitumen. The pump is equipped with a hot oil jacket or an electrical heating system.
The solution meter controls the flow rate of the solution pump through a PID system. It measures the real-time flow of the solution according to the bitumen emulsion recipe and provides this information to the PLC system. It is made of stainless steel.
There are two types of bitumen emulsions: anionic bitumen emulsion and cationic bitumen emulsion. Cationic bitumen emulsion is typically used in road projects, while anionic bitumen emulsion is used in the construction industry as an insulation material.
In addition to the bitumen emulsion plant, a hot oil boiler, bitumen tank and bitumen emulsion tank are required.
It is recommended to consume bitumen emulsion within 48 hours after production.
During the production of bitumen emulsion, it is not recommended for the final product to exceed 70°C. The quality of the bitumen emulsion will decrease as the solution begins to evaporate.
A bitumen emulsion plant requires an operator to run it. It is important for an experienced operator who is knowledgeable about bitumen emulsion chemistry to operate the plant.
