Asphalt Plant

An asphalt plant is a factory that produces hot asphalt by mixing aggregates, bitumen, and filler powder according to a recipe. MBA manufactures mobile or stationary asphalt plants with capacities ranging from 80 to 320 tons per hour. The capacity and type of asphalt plant are determined based on the customer's requirements, the highway regulations of their country, and their capacity needs. Depending on the asphalt road project data obtained from the customer, sales of mobile asphalt plants, stationary asphalt plants or continuous asphalt plants are carried out.

ASPHALT PLANT EQUIPMENT

Aggregate bins

Aggregate bins store aggregates of various sizes and dose aggregates according to the recipe. MBA produces aggregate bunkers with capacities ranging from 5 to 30 m³. Dosing conveyors are designed to ensure the aggregate ratio as determined by frequency control and software.

Asphalt Plant Dryer

The dryer in an asphalt plant removes moisture from aggregates and heats its up to 160-190°C. MBA asphalt plant dryers are manufactured from heat-resistant materials. The dryer rings are produced without welding. Bolted dryer blades can be easily replaced. It facilitates asphalt production with a liquid or gas fueled burner.

DUST FILTER

The filter is an equipment that captures filler dust coming from the dryer, allowing it to be used in asphalt production. The MBA asphalt plant filter is environmentally friendly with its high-temperature resistant meta-aramid bags and modern reverse air flow system. Its excellent insulation coating reduces your energy consumption.

Aggregate Elevator

The aggregate elevator transports aggregates from the dryer of the asphalt plant to the vibrating screen located at the top of the tower. Heat-treated aggregate elevator chains provide excellent performance against thermal expansion. Elevator buckets are lined with plates to resist wear. The soft start system of the aggregate elevator ensures efficient operation and continuous asphalt production.

Vibrating Screen

In batch type asphalt plants, the vibrating screen classifies aggregates according to their sizes. It operates smoothly with a 4 or 5-deck screen design that maximizes surface area. Maintenance doors and a bolted design facilitate easy change of screen wires. The external body design ensures dust suppression, making it environmentally friendly.

Hot Aggregate Bins

The hot aggregate bunker in an asphalt plant stores aggregates separated into fractions by the vibrating screen. Its special internal design prevents wear and it ensures timely and high-quality asphalt production with maximum and minimum aggregate level sensors and a high-quality pneumatic system.

Weighing Units

In asphalt production, aggregates, filler and bitumen are used. The weighing units include the filler scale, aggregate scale, and bitumen scale. Each scale is designed based on the physical dynamics of the respective fluid. Weighing is performed using load cells  and during the commissioning of the asphalt plant, calibration ensures high precision operation. The high precision weighing of the weighing units reduces asphalt production costs and ensures high-quality asphalt production.

Asphalt Mixer

The asphalt mixer is produced with capacities ranging from 1000 kg to 4000 kg. It is designed as a double-shaft mixer. MBA asphalt plant mixer reducers are connected to each other with high-quality couplings to ensure synchronization. Mixer arms, blades and body castings are made from high-alloy steel to ensure customer satisfaction. The specially designed arm and blade configuration mixes asphalt homogeneously.

Thermal Oil Boiler

The thermal oil boiler is the equipment used to heat bitumen, a material necessary for asphalt production. Bitumen stored in tanks is heated to the required temperature using this heater. Generally, thermal oil heaters for asphalt plants are produced with capacities ranging from 500,000 to 1,000,000 kcal/hour. The circulation of the thermal oil is ensured by a hot oil pump and it is heated by a burner.

Bitumen Tank

The bitumen tank is used for the storage and heating of bitumen, which is the raw material for asphalt. In an asphalt plant, bitumen tanks with a capacity of 50 to 80 tons are generally used. The MBA bitumen tank is distinguished by its high-quality insulation structure and large heating surface, ensuring high performance.
