Cement Silo

Cement silo; it is one of the most important equipment used especially in facilities where cement is stored and kept ready for service, such as concrete batching plants and construction chemical plants. Cement, which comes in cement trailer or bags, is stocked and kept ready for use.

In the cement silo; powder products such as cement, slaked ash, silica, bentonite and calcite can be stocked. Their capacities vary between 50-3000 tons. Welded or bolted type cement silos are produced. In addition, horizontal type or mobile cement silos are produced according to customer demand.



Welded type cement silo is suitable for short installation time and short distance transportation. The welded cement silo is transported in one piece and assembled by lifting it with a crane in one piece. It is manufactured in the capacity range of 50-120 tons. Cement silos of 150 tons and above are manufactured with bolts due to their size.



Bolted type cement silo is suitable for long distance transportation. Bolted type cement silos are preferred for capacities over 150 tons, as the transportation size is exceeded. Bolted type cement silo parts are manufactured through precision laser cutting and hole drilling. Bolted cement silos, which are transported on 40'' OT containers or trucks, provide ease of transportation.



Mobile (Horizontal) type cement silo makes the concrete storage system completely mobile. It is preferred together with mobile concrete batching plants. Foundation concrete minimizes site preparation and installation costs. Cement is discharged via the screw conveyor located under the mobile (horizontal) type cement silo. The silo body is mounted on a chassis and has double axles. Mobile (horizontal) cement silo is manufactured with a capacity of 30 m3 (40 tons).



Screw Conveyor : 


Screw conveyors provide the transfer of cement or similar bulk materials. In industrial applications, the length and diameter of the screw conveyor vary depending on various variables such as the characteristics of the raw material to be transferred, capacity and distance. It is produced in desired dimensions together with the cement silo.


Cement Silo Filter :


While cement or bulk materials are filled into the cement silo with a silo, pressurized air is also filled into the silo. During the evacuation of this compressed air, a silo filter is used to filter the dust material and prevent environmental pollution.




-Environmental pollution is prevented by placing a filter on the cement silo.


-By placing a butterfly valve on the cement silo discharge flange, the cement flow is stopped by closing the butterfly valve during screw conveyor replacement or maintenance.


-The level of the silo is measured with the cement silo minimum or maximum cement level switches. According to the customer's request, instant silo level control can be done with the radar level sensor.


-The negative pressure that occurs during silo filling is balanced with the silo pressure safety valve. With the cement silo safety valve, damage to both the silo and the silo-top filter is prevented.


-Cement silo air jets fluidize the cement in the conical part of the silo through compressed air and facilitate cement discharge.


-Flow control can be achieved with the star feeder (air lock) and the screw is cleaned at the end of production, preventing blockages in subsequent work.


-The screw conveyor is sized according to the details of the project and the cement inside the silo is transferred.
