Continuous asphalt plant produces hot asphalt by continuously feeding aggregate, bitumen and filler at recipe rate with volumetric dosing. It consist of aggregate feeding bins, conveyors, dryer, dust filter and separate hot asphalt mixer.

In the continuous asphalt plant, dosing is done volumetrically. Aggregate, bitumen and filler are dosed separately and hot asphalt mixture is made in the mixer. Aggregate is dosed and sent for mixing by dosing conveyors that exist at the output of each aggregate bin. Filler screw conveyor determine the instant feeding capacity of filler. Bitumen is dosed by means of a flow meter.
In the continuous asphalt plant, unlike the drum mix plant, asphalt mixture is not made in the dryer. This ensures trouble-free operation of the dryer. The dryer is made of heat resistant special steel. Inner flights plates of bolt-on design can be quickly replaced when maintenance is required. High quality burners are used in terms of fuel savings.
The dust filter vacuums the filler dust that comes out with the heating of the aggregate and collects it in the bunker by means of bags and provides the fillers necessary for asphalt production. Mineral filler dust, below 0.075 mm, is released into nature when filtration is not done well, what is inconvenient in terms of environmental rules. The emission rate is close to perfect due to the metaaramid bags and the technological bag cleaning system of the bag house.
In the continuous asphalt plant, there is a mixer at the dryer outlet. This twin-shaft hot asphalt mixer produces much higher quality asphalt than the drum mix plant. Thanks to the synchronized gear system, wear-resistant internal wear parts and a high level of homogeneous mixture, it works without any problems for many years.
