Our reverse air asphalt plant baghouse filter system operates by gently blowing the plant’s own clean, heated air back through the filter bags using a dedicated reverse air fan and a mechanical distributor (rotary valve or damper-controlled system), instead of relying on high-pressure compressed air pulses.

No Dependence on Air Compressors
Unlike pulse jet systems, the reverse air baghouse filter does not require an external compressed air supply (4–6 bar) for filter cleaning. This eliminates compressor-related downtime, reduces energy consumption, and lowers operating costs.

Maximum Filter Bag Life (No Thermal Shock)
In pulse jet filter systems, cold compressed air is injected into filter bags containing hot process gases (approximately 160°C), causing thermal shock, condensation, and acid corrosion that significantly reduce filter bag life. Our reverse air filter system uses the plant’s own heated air, eliminating thermal shock and extending Meta-Aramid filter bag life by up to two times.

High-Temperature Meta-Aramid Filter Bags & Filter Cages

The temperature of process gases entering the asphalt plant baghouse filter during aggregate drying typically ranges between 150°C and 180°C. These high temperatures, combined with the chemical composition of the exhaust gases, can quickly damage conventional filter fabrics and reduce filtration efficiency.
